Arrow Successful walk!

Arwen just took her first truly successful walk on a leash. She has always been fairly good . . . no dragging or lunging or anything like that . . . but tonite, her attention was 100% on me, she sat every time I stopped without having to be asked, she was on a completely loose leash (first time) with no pulling, and even though we walked past several distractions (dogs fighting in a yard, children playing with a ball, etc) she stayed focused. It was the most enjoyable walk we've ever taken . . . my husband wasn't with us this time; I wonder if that had anything to do with it? Anyway, I just wanted to post to say I am so proud of her!

I can remember the first walk that went this way for us. I felt like walking to the next city

This gives me such a big smile. I know that sometimes people think "oh yeah, that training business is just a darn rumor, like unicorns!". It is supposed to fool us into thinking we are doing something productive and the darn dog is still doing the same thing............ then one day = wow! (don't let out too much breath however, because the darn stuff has to keep being renewed)
