Weight pulling? I read an article recently on weight pulling? (I guess thats what its called) the article actually featured the Presa Canario. This dog seems to have almost the same build as the rottweiler. Is this type of competition good for the dog's joints?

Re: Weight pulling? I agree with Larry. Those breeds more appropriate for weight pulls are built to be over-loaded in the front which is not appropriate for the Rottweiler who is supposed to be able to trot for long distances. Now, carting or draft work is appropriate for the breed.

Re: Weight pulling? Thanks. I was wondering how this works for the dogs. Especially for dogs that are said to be most at risk for displaysia. But I also know that rotties are part of the working breed.
