Why Does Chica think Finish means.....

JUMP ON MOM!!!!!

Ok well most of the time she does it perfectly. We've been working really hard on our training and she's doing really well. Last night I go to show my daughter her perfect finish....dogs in position....I give the command and hand signal....dog jumps on me...hits me in the chest with her paws and then gets the zoomies...daughter is laughing so hard she's almost peeing her pants.

Just thought I'd share. One thing about life with dogs....it's never ever boring.

One of the things I love about Rottweilers is there sense of humor

Re: Why Does Chica think Finish means.....

I can sympathize to some extent. I'm pretty sure Hercules thinks "wanna go for a ride" or "wanna go for a walk" means if Mom's taking too long getting ready to leave the house, throw yourself at her in the heat of excitement and see if it will speed up the process. He's done it since the early days when I got him, but for the life of me I just don't get what he thinks he's accomplishing by doing this! It's funny though!

Yes, Miss Pooh thinks a recall means 'attack on handler' very much the same way.

I'd rather have an overly enthusiastic dog and a couple points off than a mongolian death marcher.

Sometimes Bella gets that crazy psycho look and comes barreling at me like a bat out of hell then she "Jumps" into sit position (never straight of course). The first time my trainer saw this she was laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes...she said my expression was almost as funny as the dogs..
