New Training Class

Well our new class started today..and I LOVE it!

It's a pretty big class with pups ranging in age from 4 months to 9 months old. There's a pair of boxers, a pair of shelties, an english springer spaniel, a bulldog and the biggest of the bunch a 9mo old bloodhound.

Happy was completely enamored with the bloodhound, he's never met a puppy bigger than him! We had a blast meeting and greeting.

The class itself was really great with 2 trainers available to us, they said most classes it's 3. We worked on our sits, downs and heel. We also got to do a bit of agility and play 'musical puppies' where we all walk around and then the pups had to 'sit' on pieces of paper, whomever won got a frisbee. We also exchanged dogs and worked on allowing our dogs to be 'examined' by others.

We did jumps over hurdles and Happy had everyone cracking up..most of the dogs would actually 'jump', he would just step over and retrieve the toy.

We had a lot of fun and got to meet new people. I like this class even moreso than the puppyk, the games and agility are a nice change and keep it light.

Unfortunately it's only a 5 week class. Since most of these people in the group did puppyk there and want to continue they will most likely have Obed I shortly afterwards.

Nice job and how lucky you are to have found such companions in your training.

Re: New Training Class

Sounds like you have some wonderful new (puppy) friends! Enjoy! Training a pup is a fun time, for me. They're so-o-o cute!
