First training class.

Hi all! My girl Roxie had her first training class on tuesday and she done brilliantly!! Due to her paw injury a few weeks ago, this was one her her 'first' walks, so i was slightly nervous but she was best behaved in the class! When we first arrived and all the other dogs were barking at each other and straining to reach each other, she just sat beside me watching. She done everything perfectly and the trainer actually wanted to borrow her to demonstrate to others but she wouldnt leave her mummys side! Damn, would have been able to show her off!lol. I think she wont mind demonstating in a few weeks but she was slightly overwhelmed! Anyway, i was sooo proud of her and cant wait for next weeks class, she really enjoyed herself! Im hoping this may have changed a few peoples opinions of the breed when they seen how well behaved she was ( and it was the mongrel that was muzzled...NOT the Rottweiler) Take care all, Carrie

Re: First training class.

Glad to hear that your first class went so well, Carrie. Isn't training fun? Are you doing puppy K or beginner OB?

Julius was the same way in puppy K. All of the other dogs were straining at their leashes, barking, etc. & then there's Julius. Asleep on the floor.

Keep up the good work!

Re: First training class.

I think its beginner OB, but to be quite honest im not sure Shes 8 months now, i asked at the vets for a reputable trainer then had to wait a few months for an available place. Im in Scotland, so not quite sure if our classes are the same as US ones? Either way im just so glad i got her a place as the trainer is really brilliant! Took an instant like to my girl!
