Triple Crown- Good Dog Collar?

I know this should probably be in the training section, but i am including pictures of this collar. I went to PetSmart lastnight, w/Kumho.... I was looking at training collars for when we are allowed to us them in our class. I was able to find "their" trainer and ask some questions like how to use the collar, how to fit it the right way and so on... we looked at Prongs/pinch, And then she showed me this good dog collar.

It's made of a strong plastic type material. But when on the dog... looks like a regular flat collar. I guess it's a new product around here and is less intimidating to people. Most people see a dog comming with a big metal prong collar on and think "Oh my, that dog may be trouble" And with this one, you can't hardly see a difference between the flat collar and the Good Dog collar.

She put the collar on him and WOW!!! He was NOT the same dog!!! Everything she asked of him he did and as soon as she would stop he would automatically sit.Of course she used lots of treats and such but he did everything..including ignoring other dogs, he would look but wouldn't try to go "play" with them.

I tell ya when i first walked in the store i was thinking to myself "I am NEVER going to do this again!!!" He was pulling me from one place to another and i just could not get is attention. At home is another story, he is velcro dog with me and goes everywhere and does everything i ask of him.

Anyhow just wanted to get some input on this collar. If any of you have ever used it, the results you got. Beter/worse verses the Metal Prong. Things like that. I am attaching some pictures of this collar if case anyone is wondering what it looks like. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Triple Crown- Good Dog Collar?

Well, since this collar was first mentioned, I have had an opportunity to learn a bit more about it and also talk to a trainer who has used it and handled a dog with it on. Advantage - it is very light, especially if you get the small one with added links or second collar to make the length. Disadvantage. The points (similar to prongs) are really not long enough to be effective on a dog with a heavy coat on the neck area (like the Rottweiler). It is most effective with a more sensitive dog and/or very short coat. I also found it to be a bit expensive.

Would I consider one? Yes, if I had a breed like a Vizsla, Ridgeback, Dobe or other with little ruff hair. We judged it not really effective on necks like the Rottweilers'.
