Prong Collar Fit Question?

Ok My only question is When I put the collar on ofcourse the prongs are on back of neck rings on front When I try to rotate the collar around to where it should be I have a hard time moving it Could it be too tight? Its snug on his neck can only fit a pinky under it Just having a hard time getting into the right postion should I add another link?

Are you turning it the right way? Turn so that the prongs are not digging in. And why is it backwards? When I put mine on, it is the correct way to attach a lead. (Maybe I'm doing something wrong...lol)

If you can't turn it at all, I would say it is slightly too tight. My collar is such that if I can't add or remove rings, I can adjust it at the clasp Try it the other way, I don't have any problem getting it up high enough on the neck and putting the ring on top to start with. I'm no expert, but I just started using the prong and it's true that it is like power steering for dogs!

to make it easier...

I took a pair of pliars and SLIGHTLY bent both sides of one of the prongs to make it easier to attach/detach it. Then I painted that prong fluorescent orange so that it's easy to distinguish it from the others. Makes it real quick and easy to get it on and off.

prong

I found that it's easier to separate the prongs from each other than from the clasp. I can't even connect the clasp. As for direction, my trainer showed me how to put it on. Loops in Left hand, hooks in right, facing dog. If I need to adjust it I move the collar toward the loops, so the prongs don't dig in.
