| I`m not sure if this might help but when Sam barked in her indoor crate I first of ignored her that might be your best bet if you go there all the time you might just make it worse. Tell the neighbours you are sorry and you are trying your best.
The other thing you could try to make the outdoor kennel a happy place for her to be.
Put her in there for a 10 min in the morning with a kong and the same during the afternoon. Then extend her stay in there.
If you are out in the yard put her in the kennel and do some chores meanwhile she sees you and give her something to chew a doggie biscuit or something.
If she does not see the kennel as a place where you only put her to sleep at night it might help your barking problem since she knows you will be back.
I`m home most of the time but Sam still spends up to an hour in there during the morning in the afternoon and when the kids are going to sleep. She still sometimes whine but it is only for a short time and I ignore her during those times if she whines in the beginning.
I hope that might help. If outside is your only option.
