Walking stiff legged with collar on....

How can i make my puppy's transition to wearing a collar easier? He'll do a stiff legged walk and toss his head about when it's on (twice a day for couple hours), he just doesn't seem to like it very much...

Try playing some active games once the collar is on, throwing a toy, playing tug etc. thus forming a good association. He should "forget" about it in no time.

I would praise him and make a huge fuss over him wearing it, and make it sound like such a gooooooooood thing when he has it on.... they really like the attention, and he will get used to it.

Just do it every day, and if he thrashes around like some wild animal, just ignore him. Don't coddle him, or say its okay, etc..

He'll be just fine. :D
