I'm sure the playing catch doesn't go on so long she couldn't be put in the house and then brought out when it is finished. Be reasonable in your expectations and don't hammer her about everything.

The weather is starting to get nice here and we do play catch. I don't want to keep Brandy trapped in the house when we are outside having fun, but I don't want her to chase after the ball and run him over.
I thought from your oiginal post that you wanted to teach the dog not to chase things on command and were using the ball in part of that training?

Now I'm confused about what you want to teach and why.

I'm sorry for confusion,
We don't want her to chase things if we tell her not to. When we walk her out back we don't want her chasing after little animals that could be smelly or anything else. She is doing great with that.
As for my last comment I was ask why I would want to throw a ball and not have her chase after it. Like I said if I am playing catch with our nephew I don't want her chasing after the ball and running him over. So that would be throwing something and on command her not chasing after it.
