Plastic dumbell -- what size?

I need to order a plastic dumbell for obedience class to replace the oversized wooden one I now have. Found a source of one-piece turned plastic dumbells that come in many sizes. My rottie is small, only 23" tall and about 78 lbs. What size would be appropriate for him? I might as well also get one for larger rottie, he is about 27" tall and weighs about 115 lbs (both seem pretty well proportioned).

Any recommendations on correct dumbell sizes for the each of my rotties would be appreciated.

Even info on how to measure them for the dumbell would be great.

Here are some of the key points for fitting a dumbbell:
The dumbbell should fit in the gap behind the dog's canines. The dog should be able to close his mouth completely over the dumbbell, and the dumbbell should not slide around in the gap.
The bar should be long enough to allow a 1/4" of space on either side of the dog's muzzle.
The ends should be high enough to allow the dog to pick the dumbbell up easily, without blocking his view while jumping.

I use a 3" end, 3 1/2" bit and a 15/16" diam dumbbell for my rottie.

Hope this helps!

Thanks much!

I'll make some measurements and also double check with the trainer at class before ordering.
