I heard Owen Tober is good. He is located in Alden. I don't know how far you are from there.

I'm on Grand Island, and I believe it's 45 mins from here. I did schutzhund trials there. I don't know what kind of trainer your looking for?

I know the areas trainers fairly well. What kind of training are you looking for? Pet Manners & obedience? Competition obedience? Agilty? Schutzhund? Private or class?

Let me know and I can try to help you from there.

I am mainly looking for Pet Manners & obedience. Agilty training looks like it would be fun also. Private or class lessons, what would you recommend? We would just be starting out in formal training.

I definately reccommend a class setting. how old is your boy/girl?
Has he/she been through any classes before? I can suggest a couple places. Carol Harty teaches a great pet manners & obedience class at Positive Pet Training in Buffalo. Also, I am currently going to All Dogs Academy in North Tonawanda. I am taking the novice class but they have some great classes in beginner pet obedience and/or puppy class. Once you graduate for the beginner stuff and want to move on I can suggest further. Let me know and I can get you the numbers of these places> I know that All Dawgs has a beginner class starting at end of month so you can probably start soon.

My boy is 13 months. He has not been in any formal/class training. Just training by me, he knows the basic comands (sit, stay, up, down, come). I would think we would need to be in a beginer class. How much do the classes generaly cost? How long do they run per day, how many times per week, how many weeks? Are they evening classes? Thank you very much for your responces.

The classes at All Dawgs run $80.00 for 8 weeks. The classes are 1 hour each and are once a week. The one I mentioned will be held on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. I will have my boy in it also and will be taking my girl to the earlier novice class at 6:30. Any other questions, let me know.
