For those who don't know, Czar is our 16 month old intact male and hasen't been in training for sometime now bc of shows and my injury this past summer but we're back full force bc our goal is for him to get his CD title:D. He already has his CGC so we'd like to do the Obediance titles now if it's not interupted by going to shows and if we have to wait then that's fine too. Czar thrives on going places and doing things that require him to think. He loves his exercise everyday and now he will be in training for sometime now. Our OB trainer is allowing us to pay each time instead of one set fee, that way when he's away at shows we won't be out any money or feel we have to make them up in a certain amount of time. So our first class went very well, they're were about 12 dogs, Czar being the only rottie and boy did he show off. The trainer took pictures of all the dogs separate with their owners and Czar of course had to have his standing, which he does best, and thought he was posing at a show, LOL. The only thing that was a problem in class was 2- 6 month old male border collies/lab mix that wanted to play with Czar, "ALL" the time, they singled him out of all the others and when we were doing the figure 8, Czar sat so quiet and well behaved till those pests came around Czar and grabbed his face and of course Czar attempted to go right back, but we all know if it were the other way around, Czar may have been excused from the class

. I'm all for distractions and that they need to perform and listen under all circumstances but that was a bit much, so we'll see what happens next time in class, but we're gonna go all the way with the training and do what we can in the time we have in between shows:D. I'm sure by now that everyone knows the importance of training and that it is a life long commitment :D and can be a very rewarding time at that.
