Trainer in Orange County recommendation?

Can someone recommend a trainer in Orange County, CA? Interested in getting really really good obedience training. If the trainer is knowledgeable in protection that would be a bonus, but not critical as I feel the breed is naturally protective. I also find that if people see a super obedient dog, they usually assume the dog is protection trained anyway. Someone who raelly understands Rotts is a plus as well

We went through group classes with our first dog with Tom Tackett (not to crazy about using him again) so we know the basics. But we feel its always good to have a professional involved and we also enjoy training. We really enjoyed the group training as we liked the interaction with other Rott owners.

I thought I had a suggestion for you but I was going to recommend Tom Tackett. I'm curious....what did you not like about Tom? His training methods or his personality?

The reason I ask is because I'm currently training my second Rottie with him and I've had absolutely great success with his training methods. IMO, he knows "agressive" dog breeds and how we can bring out the best in our strong-willed canine companions.

I looked all over Orange County for a good, professional trainer with my second pup (I didn't know that Tom was back from Vegas at the time) and didn't come up with any one I really wanted to train with.

I recognize that it is a personal decision but if I can answer any questions for you, I'd be happy to. For the record, I am not affiliated with his business in any way, I'm just pleased with his knowledge and understanding of the breed.

There is a member on this Forum named Chris, not sure of his last name, but his screen name is Urbans.

try looking him up... He is a professional trainer, and a SchH helper...
