too many kisses

I love doggie kisses but it is really getting ridiculous at our house. If Anna is awake she is kissing or licking something or someone. I have started saying NO but that just makes her toung go faster like she is apologising. I love petting her so leave it doesn't work very well because when she "leave it"'s a person she is expected to walk away. I have gotten many coments about excessive kisses from family and friends so I don't think it is imagined. Does anyone have any suggestions on teaching NO KISSES? Would it work to teach "Kisses" and then tell her no? That was a suggestion from a friend but it seams confusing to the dog. I realize this seems like a silly problem but it is anoying at least she isn't mouthing or worse. BTW she is 9 moonths old now.
Thanks

I'm sure many people would like to trade you placing for having a kissey dog.:D
It sounds like she gets hyper & her kissing is her way of dealing with it. Have her sit and stay for pettings. Also work on having her "settle". Maybe she needs some work to burn off this energy?
Maybe have her fetch, play games & take her for nice long walks.
I'm sure the more knowable people can give you some better options. ;)

She is kissing while she is sit staying. She is kissing while she "shakes hands" We go for walks but she has a slight limp (vet says pano) and we don't want to walk too far.:( I try to play thinking games like hide and seek to burn some energy. Any other thinking game suggestions would be great! What exactly is "settle"? Thanks

Teaching your dog to relax, calm down. We would do this in training class when all the dogs were getting hyper. Have him lay down and say "settle". Calm and relax him by stroking and rubbing in a soothing manner. This is also a good time to go over every square inch of his body with your hand. You can check for lumps, bumps, ect. You can handle his feet, check his ears, look at his teeth once he's nice & relaxed.
Axel gets hyper also sometimes. He knows i won't pet him until he's calm and sitting. If he starts nose rooting and nudging, i say ack, or some similar noise and he sits still again.
Dog's learn quick what will get them a scratch on the head & what brings correction. Correction doesn't have to be forceful, just CONSISTANT. Soon they learn if i want petted, i better sit still and be good. Otherwise she is going to make that sound & i won't get petted.
This really came into play when i had surgery on both feet. Can you imagine a 98 lb dog trying to squirm all over you, when you've just had surgery?
