Hi Speedy, what happens after the 4 weeks is up? You asked if twice a week is enough? If it's only 4 weeks, no, and training is a life long commitment, even when you've dones all the basics it's always a good idea to go back periodically for a refresher course. My pup is 15 months old and will be going back for a refresher. I only went once a week and for 8-10 weeks for the beginner course, so I don't have any advice for you about twice a week but for some 4 months old it may be too much going twice a week plus we never started training any of our rotties till they were 6 months, many will disagree, outside of our home that is. We did basics at home and worked on things everyday for 10 -15 min. several times a day. If your classes are an hour twice a week it may be too stressful. I hope someone else responds to help you out with your decission:D. Judy

Thanks for your reply Judy.I'll talk to the trainer to find out what's best for him cause he started to show aggression for a while.Today we went to vet for a nose examine but we failed to do.He bit vet's assistant at the forehead and my hand while trying to hold him for the examine and i'm very disappointed for this.this is the first time he shows aggression.i think it's the best time to train him. Best regards

I think the question is a bit confusing. Are you talking about attending classes twice a week or training twice a week. Normally classes are attended once a week but training is done at home every day. A dog can only absorb so much at a time and classes are used to learn how to teach the dog and to introduce something new which you then procede to do at home. Expect to keep your dog in training classes for approximately the first 3 years of life. I can understand you are disappointed about the vet visit, but just count it as a message that you need to get to work.
