Question about coordinating two pups

Hi!

My 7 month old Rotti, Romeo, is doing great! We've been working hard with a trainer in basic obedience, and that is going well. My boy is a good dog, but he is a bit exciteable. He loves other dogs and loves to play. When he gets excited, we have to work harder on the obedience.

We just got a 7 week old German Shepherd pup last night. Romeo loves the puppy, but doesn't understand the pup gets tired fast. We've been trying to keep him in check from playing too rough. Argh! Its a challenge!

Any suggestions? We'll separate the two, but Romeo just won't quit trying to get to the puppy.

Thanks!

Crates are a many splender thing :D

The baby puppy needs his rest; and to be safe from an excitable 7 month old Rottie.

It's a great opportunity to put some of the hard work you've put in obedience into action......
