| A teeny little Legend brag... I showed Legend in Goodyear this weekend and he finally beat another dog with me handling him! There was only one dog in his class (again!) on Saturday, so of course he took first - and I was disappointed that he didn't take best puppy that day since I was really hoping to get to go to puppy group with him...but it's okay - I know the girl that did take best puppy was thrilled that she did, so that's okay. THEN - on Sunday, there were TWO dogs in his class (9-12 mos) and he took FIRST! YEA!!!! :D EVERY other time that I've taken him in the ring he's taken "last" - yes, that's been out of one or two dogs - so we have lots of blue and red ribbons...but they still didn't mean much to me. Sunday's did though!!! AND - the judge was nice enough to give it to Legend and not penalize me for not hearing her and doing a down and back when she had actually asked for a triangle - oops! Each show I seem to learn a little more - and get lots of great pointers from other handlers - so maybe there's still hope for us as a team out there!
