Awwww.....how sweet is that!! Chopper is a gorgeous Rotti! And travis seemed so happy!! Definitely awsome to see.

Just as a side note, I hate to say it, but I always imagined a Therapy dog, a little more calm. He seemed quite exciteable. I was a tad concerned when he knocked the boy over, and you could hear his head hit the door. Maybe it is just me.

What made me upset was that the story not once said ROTTWEILER! Only stating "the dog(s)". If this child was mauled, I bet the farm they would have said ROTTWEILER twenty times!!!

Good story though. Thanks Roscoe for posting it.

No matter how much we do, no matter how hard we work, it's never gonna be quite good enough. I wonder how many time's a child has bumped their head when not on video???

but the problem is this isnt a Normal child, this is a cancer patient, it seems like the animal should be a tad more gentle! i wasnt saying anything against the breed! Geesh as a mother i just said what was in my heart! I wouldnt care if it was a darn poodle. My dogs dont knock my kids over ever, so I would expect a service dog to be just as gentle! JMO!

So Trent isn't normal because he's what, a cancer patient? The animal, or do you mean the therapy dog, should be a tad more gentle because of what, your dog would never knock you kids over..............ever?

I would expect, a Rottweiler enthusiast, would be proud of what this out of control animal accomplished with this child.

Sometimes your the bug, other times your the windshield.

No where did I say I wasnt Proud That there was a Rotti service dog!! And I am happy that the child is so happy! They are a great pair, I just made a darn comment!

I was just saying that the dog could have been a tad more gentle! I cannot you are jumping all over me, for my concern!

What I meant as Trent be a Cancer Patient, was that they can be more suseptable to injury, because of their treatment! I never meant that he wasnt normal! He just has to be more careful than most.

I cannot believe I am getting jumped on, because as a mother i showed concern for this boy!

And NO! My dogs have never jumped on my kids, and knocked them down! They do not jump up, and when they are around the kids, they are ten times more behaved!

Spectacular!! We spent the entire day today at the nursing home. Although roggy never kissed a child...he kissed many older folks. And made their day. Mine to.
Thanks for the great video.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm typing through tears and am so grateful that you were there to chronicle this experience! "Where are the "ban the breed people?"

That was wonderful! Little boys are always wrestling and knocking each other over anyway, so I say no harm done and anyway he loved the interaction. I suspect therapy dogs can sense what a person needs, aren't they very gentle with the elderly? Naw, this was just boys being boys, I say.

Re: 7 Year old cancer patient mauled by Rottweiler!

The only thing that would have made the video perfect for me was to have heard the name of our breed mentioned. I watched it twice, thinking that in my first viewing my delight at seeing such a happy child made me miss hearing Rottweiler mentioned.

So nice to see our breed get well deserved good press--even if the breed isn't noted. Thanks so much for sharing!

What a love! I can't think of anything a little boy needs (and loves!) more than a good tip-over by a big ol' loveable lug with a tongue the size of California!

Thanks for sharing.....this is one news story that warmed my soul.
