| Rottweilers as heros.....
With all the press attention at the minute with Rottweilers, i just wondered if any of you from round the world have known any stories of Rottis doing something good and saving a life maybe?
i read a story of a young boy in kansas being trapped in a home during a hurricane and the family had already evacuated the house with out the boy. They thought he had escaped another way, they were frantic obviously but unfortunetly by this point the house had started to look like it was not going to with stand it. So they took the other 2 children to the nearest safe hold and dad began to try to crawl back to the house (as any parent would want to). Dd dint make it back to the house and ended up hiding in the dog kennel of all places!
When the hurricane passed enough for people to get in, the little boy told the rescuers that their rottweiler (family dog) had climb through somehow, whinning and on finding the kid, the dog pushed him up against the corner of the room ( i think it read that the dog made it clear he wanted the little boy to move in to the corner by circling madly and pushing him with his nose) he staying with him. The kid said the rotti stood almost over him as he was crounched on the floor. Mum and dad said they saw their dog running back towards the house as they ran to the safe hold, they called it and called it but the recall was not workng that day, thank god.  |
