Re: Rottweiler service dog denied access to Sears

How many times have we all been in a store where animals are NOT allowed, but we see people walking around with their chihuahua or yorkie in a bag or their arms? I have yet to see any of those individuals asked to leave by an associate, let alone the manager.

Re: Rottweiler service dog denied access to Sears

That is another part of the law, I believe that they are allowed to be in a store as long as not walking and are in a carrier bag. I've always heard that. I guess they figure who would be carrying a Rottie or Pit around in a bag!

Exclamation Re: Rottweiler service dog denied access to Sears

Sears is already loseing money. The manager was wrong no doubt about it. I also would like the media to get this story. I see many rottie's in the hospital working with children and poeple in wheelchairs. The dogs are like very large babies I believe with enough media coverage the manager might be transfered, or fired. I would love to ask him if he had a disability that required a SD and was ordered out of a store what his response wold be. Or better yet make him go into a store with a dog. I have seen another type of example although not with dogs but with a pregancy belly. Same type of case just different methods. Boys has to wear these lol. Seems to me that Sears instead of papying big buck to CEO, CFO that they can papy Paula. just my.02 cents worth.

Re: Rottweiler service dog denied access to Sears

The sad part is he is in management. What kind of example was he setting for everyone else -- a terrible one for sure.

If he is in a position like that, then he should have been educated from the beginning by corporate about the law and service dogs. Regardless of the breed.
