Rottweiler Promomovie

I found this movie on Rottweilervrienden.nl.It's made by some members and worth seeing it.

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

Another great video! I've found that having a Rottweiler helps me weed out the open-minded folks from the narrow-minded ones.

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

LOVE it!

I just thought of something...

I can't imagine a responsible Rottie owner allowing their TV trained dog to perform in films/commercials where the dog is portrayed as vicious killing machines. What a horrible way to profit form a breed streotype that does little to advance the breed!!!!

That's true. I know there was talk about how disappointed rottie owners were in how the breed was portrayed in some of the Super Bowl commercials, but I was pleased that the "Criminal Minds" episode that followed didn't have rotties or pit bulls in it. There was a scene in which three dogs killed a woman and as soon as I heard the snarling, before the dogs were shown, I said "those better not be Rottweilers."

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

I was thinking that exact thought when I watched criminal minds. I actually held my breath when I heard the barking, thinking, here we go with the largest audience , more bad publicity for rotties. I was so glad they didn't use them. Except for the "bring me to tears pics",the above video was great. Thanks for posting this for us.

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

i love watching the videos you guys find...it just kills me to see the pics of the ones neglected, sick or vicious. I'm glad I'm one of the owners that dont want my baby to turn out like that, we're going to start agility soon. Makes me feel like a better person knowing I'm doing the right thing by my doggie.
Also, I'm glad we have this website.

I'm right there with you! Geez! I'm really not an emotional person about anything, but you'd never know it if you walked in on me while I was visiting this forum!!

Good video, loved the rottie sticking her/his head out of the cart the bicycle was pulling!! What an idea!

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

That was a great video. It brought tears to my eyes. It is a shame that everyone could see this and know that these are great dogs. I had a pit bull growing up and she was the sweetest thing. She is over the rainbow bridge. I will see her again one day. I now have an english mastiff and will be getting a rott pup in 2 weeks. We are all excited, but I know there will be people who will have to put their 2 cents in about these dogs being terriable. I can only show them that it is the owner not the dog on how they grow up.
Thanks, Heidi

Hmmm... Good video for the most part, I love that song.. I wasn't crazy about the section of "bared teeth" rottweilers-- what was the point of that?

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

Good video. I was finally able to view the video in its entirety. I loved it, minus the teeth baring pics. The children's bike cart was a good idea for those who love to bike ride for miles but may be too long of a walk for their Rottie companion. You could even adjust it and turn it into a pull cart if / when your Rottie is old enough.

Re: Rottweiler Promomovie

I agree another GREAT promo. Thanks, guys and gals who made it. You must put a warning, however: tissue needed. Heck the one on our home page brings tears to my eyes because it evokes such strong emotions in me. I wasn't expecting the abuse pictures--they made me cry too. Glad I'm not the other one.

I also want to add that this is a wonderful website. All of you Rottie owners are awesome people, and I'm very proud to be an owner of a Rottie who dispels the stereotype of the breed.

Cheers, and my hat off to ya'll.

Debbie

I must have been OTL, cause I just found this. I, too, needed a tissue break. The pictures of the service dogs were lovely. And, sadly, many people would be shocked to see young children with those beautful Rotts. Only WE, as a GROUP, know how real they are. Long live the Rott.

Definitely a 'tissue' moment! I wasn't too crazy about the teeth baring pics but was a great video! Rotties Rule!
