School children bit by rottweilers (Jerome, ID)

Article and link provided by fightBSL group:

Dog bites children at Jerome school

JEROME, Idaho (AP) -- Two elementary school children in Jerome in southcentral Idaho were bitten earlier this week when a pair of Rottweiler dogs ran loose on the playground.

Neither student at Horizon Elementary School was seriously hurt, but the mother of one child is calling for the animals to be euthanized.

Kristi Dewitt says "If you have a dog, any kind of dog, you just need to do everything you can to keep them confined. Don't think you can always predict that dog's behavior."

Her six-year-old son had a puncture wound on both sides of his knee, as well as a mark on his upper thigh and bruising.

The owner of the dog, Chris Barber, has tentatively agreed to have the animals put to sleep.

Police also say Barber was cited for harboring a vicious dog.
