Thumbs down Rottie horribly killed

I found this news story from a link on the CNN website. Someone is killing pets along with wildlife. They think it is trappers but the whole story is just sickening. There is a part of the story where one of the pets is a female Rottie. She was someone's pet. Just plain sickening!! I look at my own dogs and just have to wonder how ANYONE can be so cruel!!!

Re: Rottie horribly killed

This is just another great example of why people should NEVER let their pets just roam. What an awful end they came to.

Re: Rottie horribly killed

It gets worse: Here are the stories from yesterday and today.

I looks like these were not trappers, but rather some sicko. How can they not call this piece of *?%^&^%$##, a serial killer?

Re: Rottie horribly killed

This is disgusting and disturbing! This should not be treated lightly ar all! Who knows when this person will not be satisfied with killing pe4ts anymore? when will he/she need to kill something more? So often pets and animals are downgraded in crimes against them bcause there not enough final voice for them - they cant talk- very sad! I agree this is a serial killing. And also agree that that is why I know where and what my pets are doing at all times.

Re: Rottie horribly killed

I actually live about 4 1/2 miles from where a lot of the bodies have been found. The reward is up to $13,000 to catch this guy. I've switched off the flexi leash for now and gone back to the 4 ft lead. I'm taking every precaution I know to make sure Hank doesn't get loose. Normally, I wouldn't be as paranoid, but this has been scary for the whole community.

I'm shocked that trapping is not illegal yet in so many areas. I've written my state senator & rep about this.

Re: Rottie horribly killed

I read about this on a pet abuse website last night. Not only is it disturbing, but the person/s responsible have got to be so deranged that anyone around him/her is at risk. This is so sad, so cruel and so scary.

Re: Rottie horribly killed

Trapping like cars, hunting etc is not the evil you might think. As practiced here in NH itis safe. In other states with less rigid trap check laws and trap type laws though it can be pet dangerous.

No matter the item or hobby there will be uncaring, abusive morons that give the lawabiding moral people a bad image

and yes I trapped for years here in Nh but based on info gathered at trappers conventions I am aware that NH has pretty strict regulations that are good ones

Re: Rottie horribly killed

I don't think it has anything to do with trapping. I think they have a mentally unstable person on their hands. Or, maybe I just read too much crimelibrary.com stories. (blah, it made an url, I edited it out.)

People who engage in this type of behavior escalate to hurting others - humans. Because the animals are left, I think a teenager(s) are doing it. An adult would be more likely to take the remains or dispose of them. Hopefully, this person will be located and helped before they become more cunning in their manner to hide what they are doing. (again, too much crime drama books and tv for me, lol)

A good friend and former co-worker had a husband who was a taxidermist. He did excellent work. I would never put what he and trappers do in the same category. This is either someone who needs meds or is off their meds. I hope they catch them soon.

Re: Rottie horribly killed

I doubt it has much to do with trapping...Is trapping deheading and binding the feet together? Seriously I don't know anything about trapping so I'm not sure what involved in trapping.

I just don't know what to say about this. Its absolutely stunning. I think we've e spoke of this on another thread. My Dad drives a Semi Truck to Detroit everyday. I'll probably get flamed for this but I sure hope the sicko doing this runs acrossed an angry citizen or the wrong dog before he gets caught.
