Like everyone has said it was someone else not you....later on you might be able to get a dog with the proper care....i would feel lost if my dogs were taken...i cannot imagine how you feel....Take care of yourself first then see what the future brings you!! Good luck with everything!

You will be able to be judged on your own merits when you are an adult.

Focus on working hard in school, be proud of that, be good to yourself, and learn everything you can about doing things the right way with dogs. Volunteering at a shelter as someone suggested is a great idea, when you have time available to you.

There you go! Anything that you enjoy, makes you feel good about yourself, and lets you help others is a VERY good thing. Good luck to you!!

Re: Rottweiler Breeder that lists herself as SanMar Kennels!

I have just got done reading this entire thread. I remember it from earlier in the year. I know I don't have to go on and on about what a tragic situation this is, everyone knows already.

I did want to say a couple of things to you though Alex (don't worry)
You are in a hard situation and please take the suggestions and advice offered about getting involved in ANYTHING right now. You have just experienced a great loss, and have been through a very confusing situation. Rememember you are 16, adults are supposed to take care of you, not the other way around. You don't have to be ashamed if your mother is going through some kind of mental crisis. It happens to the very best and brightest people. But you also need not enable her by defending her actions. You may not ever be able to make sense of your mother's behaviors in your head, but that doesn't mean you can't love her. And if she is indeed suffering mentally, it doesn't mean she can't love you. I dont mean to offend you by suggesting this is the situation, if it isn't, but many times people in this situation are either mentally incapacitated in some way, or becaome overwhelmde, and subsequently breakdown mentally and emotionally.

That does not of course mean this is not a horrible situation and there are no consequenses. Unfortunantely the law sometimes does not make exeptions or bend because the situation was tragic for everyone involved. There are not degrees to measure who can and cannot be held accountable-so please keep that in mind, and don't resent the law eforcement community for doing their jobs (its hard sometimes)

You have also just lost a great deal, here is a thread on the stages of grief posted recently that might be of some help to you http://www.rottweiler.net/forums/chi...tages+of+grief

I do feel though, like you might have just had a great weight lifted from your shoulders even though it has happpend in such a terrible way. Take this as an oppoutunity to start over and be a kid while you still can. You have a lot on your plate right now. You might feel lonely, like you have no control over things, betrayed, and confused. Embrace your feelings and figure out why you might be feeling this way. Make sure you have close friends to talk to. People always told me-start a journal-sounds hokey-but it is a great exercise! You can look back on it and see where you where at in you life journey day to day!

Anyways, Ive blabbed enough, Take care!
