Rottweiler saves woman's life Newark, Ohio

i don't have the news link. My Aunt told me this and it happened recently. Woman's rottweiler kept urging her to go and finally literaly pulled the woman out of the apartment. it was found that the apartments were on fire. This rottie deserves an award for pulling the owner out of the apartment to save her life.
This happened recently in Newark, Ohio.

I didn't see that. Of course it's good Rott news so they usually don't put in on national news. My Lex did save my life one time though. We had stopped at the local tractor supply store where dogs are permitted. It was just getting dark out. On our way in she was pulling and jerking and acting like an ass. She pulled me up on the sidewalk so quickly I went to my knees. An armed robbery was taking place at the newstand on the corner and at that moment the getaway car came speeding down through the parking lot. I really do believe that our pups have a sixth sense when it comes to danger to us.

wow, you were lucky and thanks to your rott you avoided getting run over by the car. wouldn't it be nice if media could concentrate on the all the lives that rotties save? rotties are so smart.

i searched for the story my Aunt told me and i could not find anything, i will keep checking though. she said they even showed a nice pic of the rott.

Toby and I used to sleep through earthquakes....I'm sure we'd sleep right through a fire as well!!
He DID put himself between me and a man who jumped out of the bushes....good boy.

i bet that guy ran away when confronted with your rottie? what a wonderful protector.
when i had my little carin terrier years ago, i was walking him, when i was approached by a man. if i would have had a rottie or a doberman, i don't think the guy would have followed me.

That reminds me of few weeks ago when I was walking in downtown Evanston with Maxine, there were not 1, but rather 2 guys with empty cans asking for $$. Maxine growled at both guys. That is good news, I would suppose.

glad you saw it too. my aunt did say she saw it on a local tv station. too bad the media didn't do more to make the rottie look good for what she did. i guess they only want to focus on the bad news, such as maulings and etc. that rottie needs a medal for saving those lives.

Yes, had it been an attack, it would have been national news. I hope those people thanked the pup for his heroism!!!

As with most things"GOOD NEWS" is often overlooked in favor of the sensational. Our Girl alerted to kids breaking into cars up and down the street...looking for $$ and cigatettes. Police like our girl!
