I feel so sorry for that poor dog and all it must have endured.
Go in peace, poor dog, and know that all humans are not the same.

Poor thing, at least now it is free from this tormentor. I will never understand these people, if they cannot afford to care for their animals, why not just give them to a shelter for goodness sake instead of leaving them to rot? These kinds of people make me sick.

Re: Poor poor rotty....

The problem is that around here, it seems to be the trend to tie your dog on a 3 foot rope, and not feed him to make him mean.. I dont understand this..
When people started hearing that I had a Rottweiler, most told me that I needed to just beat the tar out of him daily for a while to get him to respect me. When i tried to argue that I didnt want to do that to my dog, they would get mad, and inform me that I would have a killer on my hands...

Why do people want a mean dog? My dog isnt mean, yet I believe he would protect me till the end....

Another thing, Wallins, the town in the story, is the part of Harlan HEAVY in drug dealers.. It may have been that this dog was a guard dog of a crack house.. Regardless, I dont see how any human can treat an animal like this..

Some people are not human. I would classify people who do these sorts of things in the "scumbag" catagory.

Unfortunatley, this is all too familiar to me. I do volunteer at the SPCA on most weekends & see this a lot. A dog with a collar imbedded around it's neck, starved, etc. The shock that people treat their animals like that has NEVER worn off.

You should volunteer. It's given me quite a bit of satisfaction. Although, it's not for everyone...

Re: Poor poor rotty....

Perhaps the Humane Society should devise an appropriate punishment for the bastard who was so cruel to the Rott..
Tie him to a tree..have a collar imbedded in his neck..and do not feed him.
I wonder how long he would last?
Would he regret and feel ashamed of his actions?
Probably not..for people like that have no remorse and no soul.
They make me ill.

Re: Poor poor rotty....

So sad to hear such stories. We can only hope that somewhere down the road this man pays for his cruelty. "What goes around, comes around." Eventually!!

Poor, Poor Rottie!! Soo sorry for the pain you endured. Please go in peace and joyfulness to a much, much better place than you knew here in this world.
