Another rotti bite!

On the news tonite (11-7-03) there was a boy 11 who was bit by his FAMILY dog! The FAMILY dog was a rotti who was rescued approx. 4 months ago. There was also another rotti in the home. The grandmother was babysitting, the parents were at work and the dog was eating and the child somehow was in the way of this dog eating. The child was said to be recovering. HORRIBLE for eveyone involved. I feel that a NEW adult dog introduced only 4 months ago should have been supervised a bit better. I just feel that coming from a shelter, not knowing the dog's past history, SOMEONE should have done thier homework and didn't!

people like that put us people (who work hard with our dogs) to shame. What a shame. I don't leave my dog (rescued on July 18th) about 4 months-with anyone. Except me or the hubby.

Poor child. Glad he is recovering.
