Unfortunately, I don't know what to do...Just hope and pray that these kind of people wise up someday soon!!!:( But it's a sad situation and I don't think we'll see the day.

The only thing I can suggest is to "write a letter to the editor" giving your opinion. Such as this guy is a moron, but maybe not quite like that. ;)
I've written many of those type of letters and I've actually had a few printed!
It's usually best if it's written locally - sometimes letters from people far away with no local connection are considered suspect.

Hey S&BM-----

You're an attorney....how difficult would it be to petition the courts to get that Felony Stupid charge on the books? ;)

There has to be a way. They introduce BSL everytime you turn around......maybe it's time the dogs turn the tables. Human Stupidity Legislation. HSL.

Hmmm.....

Taste of blood, What EVER!!!

Yeah, this guy is a mental giant... Just the kind of "breeder" we need more of.

With the epidemic of complete IDIOTS, sometimes I wonder; is there any hope for our breed?

WD, I'm so sorry to hear that you have to retire your SAR dog. Make sure that you keep her locked up at all times, or better yet, have all her teeth removed so when the inevitable happens, she can't do too much damage!;)

I'd love to see "felony stupid" or "criminally stupid" as a chargeable offense, but you know the jails are already overcrowded! ;)

I LOVE it!!!!!

I can just see this guys day in court...
"We, the jury, find you D.S. Davis, GUILTY of Stupidity in the First degree. You will hereby be taken to the State Penetentiary to be used as a training tool for the K9 team for as long as you are able to be useful. Then you will be put in a cell with a giant guy named Bull for the rest of your sentence."

"Oh, and Here's your sign.":p

I would volunteer to pay double in taxes.....just to get these folks off the streets and get leashes out of their hands.

Gee.....maybe after they do their time......we could have them register with the local police departments as "Habitually Stupid Offender".......oh......and

Here's your sign.

alexav....

Maybe I can just take her to dog parks and let her join the packs there. I'm sure she'll meet a few of her own kind.

I would greatly appreciate it if members keep this Topic on track. These are serious issues that affect our breed. Let's keep this in mind.

Thank you.

Some organizations engage in letter writing campaigns and instead of being from an individual, it's really from the organization. Animal rights, anti-animal rights, abortion rights, anti-abortion rights, etc. groups. Some newspapers don't care - like the NY Times or other national newspapers, but local newspapers often want their "letters to the editor" to be from someone local, who is getting their paper and who cares about the area. Plus, I think people reading local papers are usually local residents, and themselves might be suspicious of a letter from someone living thousands of miles away.
