Chicago Pet Expo- March 16-18

As mentioned in an earlier thread under a different heading, the Chicago PetExpo is March 16, 17 & 18 in Schaumburg, Illinois. This year the event is being held at the new Reniassance Center off I90(by Woodfield Mall). I went last year, well actually my entire family went last year. We had a great time. Saw things I never knew existed for the dogs...and have promised(the dogs) to find the vendor/manufacturer of the best stuffed knuckle bones my dog ever had(and this time get the info on where to order for future delivery)! Met alot of great people including Darlene from THORR, last years IL/WI Rottstock benefactor. THORR will be there again this year and so will some RDN faces that are now volunteers for this rescue! THORR is at booth # 125/127A, behind the Disc arena area before the birds. Hope many of you can stop by and say HI and meet the infamous Lars...number one heart throb rottie from Rottstock....Tina

I will be down there on Saturday March 17 from 9AM to 7PM. Can't wait to put some faces to the names of the RDN people.

ordcavms...unfortunately dogs that are not entered in the competions being held or brought in by the rescues that have registered are not allowed. Last year that added up to be quite a few dogs! The event is packed with people and exibitors so I see their point. I saw several outstanding dogs last year and the dog products were endless it seemed...lol! It was a great chance to learn about the local rescues too. Hope to see you there...if you make it, please stop by and share some of your rottie stories with THORR...pictures are nice too! Tina

We will probably be going on friday. We went years ago when it was at a different location. I cant wait to check out all the rescues and get some rotty stuff!

We'll be dropping by on Saturday. Probably late morning/early afternoon. We're spending the entire weekend down in Illinois to visit friends and family.

Didn't get to see to many RDN faces today! The expo runs Sunday too! I was there from 9-7...had a great time. Spent most of the day holding Lars leash...what a GREAT day! Hopefully, changed some preceptions with this boy! He was his usual charming lover boy! The other two THORR dogs did GREAT as well. Jaime, Aubrey is beautiful! Running those tiny fingers through Lars hair...what a sight to behold! I'm going back Sun. am...hope you stop by and see us...Tina

What a great time it was. I also was disappointed not to see many RDN faces. The only people was cmac(the newbie)and Jaime. Thank you cmac and Jaime for taking the time to come out and help a great cause.

Again Lars is a GREAT ambassador of the breed. He was one pooped out senior when it was all said and done. Willow (THORR new puppy) was the cutest little girl.

THORR will have many events comming in the near furture so hoepfully you will get a chance to come out and see us.
