I know doubt will be there quite early but I believe registration will start at 7:00am with the first class firing off at 8:30A....Chuck really wants this to run on time

There are also alot of nooks and crannys I can spot for you.....if you want a certain amount of privacy away from the madding crowd......

Re: USRC Conformation Show, Northern VA

Can we get in to the grounds on Fri night to set up? That's usually what I prefer to do at agility trials......that way you have less hassle "day of show." Just don't know what the site's rules are, that's why I'm asking all the questions........sorry, it's been years since I've been to a conformation show.

We're hoping to find an area where we can set up 2 side-by-side Quick Shade tents for our crew (there are 3 of us driving down from this area).

Re: USRC Conformation Show, Northern VA

Ok, one more question that just came to mind: is there a source of running water available? A hose (perhaps with a babypool)? A pond?

Just trying to think of ways to keep dogs cool.....my guys are definitely NOT used to 70+ weather.

Thanks!!!

I know it's a LOT of hard work to put on a show, not trying to be a PITA!!

Re: USRC Conformation Show, Northern VA

You are no pain...actually your last question reminded me to put pools on my list of things we had spoken about this last week at a meeting and It slipped out of my head......yes we have water available and will have a hose w/ nozzle to cool off dogs......I am going to try to pick up a couple of plastic pools for the dogs as well........

We have gotten authorization to set up our large tents the day before at the facility...but they dont want any other set ups to happen until the day of the show......sorry about that...I know is is much easier to be able to do it all before hand........

Re: USRC Conformation Show, Northern VA

O wonderful!! Now, who can translate for the judge "the bitch left the ring to kill the hose??" I am NOT kidding!! We were working a course at agility camp, and someone (way up on the hill) turned on the hose to cool off their dog. Vikka left the ring and sprinted 100 yards to the hose, to stalk/kill it (think of a BC locked on sheep).

I'm VERY happy about the hose, that will be an immense help......hey.....will it stretch to the ring??? Vikka would surely bait for that!!

And no problem with the early set up. Do you guys need help with YOUR set up on Friday? I'm hoping we'll be in the area by 3ish, would be happy to help.
