USRC Nationals

Hi everyone. We are getting closer to the USRC Nationals to be held at our Klub(Hudson Valley Rottweiler & Schutzhund Klub) in Montgomery, New York. The date will be May 14-May 16, 2004. We have talked about it on this forum before but now is the time to act. First let me say that our Klub has spared no expense for this event. The judges will be Edgar Hellmann (ADRK) who will judge the males and Gabrielle Wodack (FCI) the females. On May 14 puppies and youth classes will be judged. May 15 will have the BST/ABST/LBST & the protection tournement which includes a $1000 prize. Also, some fun and games there will be TUG of WAR and fastest dog contest. The judges dinner will be right on the site which includes a DJ and Andy's (my brother) great cooking. On sunday, the big boy's will take to the ring along with the best bitch's in the country. This event will have some of the top dogs in the country and some of the top breeders in the world will be present showing some of their dogs they breed. If you never have gone to a german style show, I urge you to attend this one. We expect 300 entries and loads of fun. I will say this, before SamanthaC and I bought our first dog we attended these shows for 2 years. We learned so much by just watching and listening. If you are beating the AKC trail, Colonial Rottweiler Club is having their show May 3 thru May 6th. I would urge those folks to keep traveling and come to our show the following week. BTW Samantha and I also belong to CRC as well. I hope to see all you folks from this forum that show dogs and love the breed to come to Nationals. See some of the best dogs in the world in one ring. For further info you can go to www.usrc.org and find the show under events with all the hotel info and show info. If you need any further info please PM samantha or myself and we will be glad to assist you. Don't miss this great event being hosted by our Klub. :)

Hey Steve, your link to USRC is incorrect. The correct link is http://www.usrcweb.org/.

AWESOME! SamanthaC and I look forward to seeing you at the event. Like I said early, some of the best dogs in the country and 3 of the top breeders in the world will be at the show. What days do you plan on attending? Sunday will be the big boys, working class, open males, champions, veterans. Let us know so we can arrange to say hello in NY. :)

We're coming too! Hubby will take the day off from work and we'll come up and show Eli. Eli will be in Friday's shows, 18-24 month class. Looking forward to this event and to making some new friends.

Re: USRC Nationals

Eli took his UKC Championship in three shows. I hardly call that experience. LOL Just got lucky and got a great dog. Eli is my first conformation dog, and I've never had a handling class. He also has his first AKC point going BOS from Open. We've only been showing for a year and I've never tried a German style show before. I'm very excited to have this opportunity and thrilled that I'll be able to make it after all.

Thanks again Steve for all the information you provided.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. :D :p ;)

I am really looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and making a lot of new friends. The Nationals is going to be a great time and I hope we see some people that do not necessarily show their Rottweilers, but want to really learn about the breed and have a good time doing it.

Re: USRC Nationals

I would love to be there Saturday AND Sunday, but if it can only be one day, I know the BF will want to go on the "fun" day, Saturday. I'll work on him though!!
