Re: Bear left us..

My deepest condolensces and sympathy.

I lost my precious girl Polly alittle over 2 months ago. She wasn't a purebred Rottie, but half Rottie. It doesn't matter what breed she was. She was My true "heart and soul". It's so hard to let them go and say goodbye.

I hold in my heart, until we meet again.

Re: Bear left us..

Thank you all again so much, I see many of you have recently lost a friend as well..please accept my well wishes and sorrow for your losses..
I don't know how I am getting through day to day everyday I wake up and go downstairs for pottytime and see 2 crates it just sends me right back to square one. my 5 year old keeps asking where he is which isn't helping much..
the only small consolation is the girls are starting to act a bit more normally.

Re: Bear left us..

I am very sorry to hear about your dear Bear. Please know we are all too aware of the large hole these dogs leave in our hearts. However love from the heart never dies and as I know the relationship I have had with 2 boys passed and my now boy, I know how you feel....

Re: Bear left us..

thank you again, everyone and so sorry to hear of Cheyenne's recent passing.
we finally got jasmine to take his big crate for nighttime since hers is getting old and the door won't stay shut. We put his bowl and collar away on sunday, it was really hard. it seems every day i remember something new about his funny antics and sweet personality gets the tears going again.
My 5 year old DD keeps asking where he is and we've tried so many times to explain. She even started calling Jasmine "Sammy"
I'm having a tough time dealing with the sadness of hearing his name 5-10 times a day and trying to get her to understand what death is.
if anyone has some advice i'd surely appreciate some :(

Re: Bear left us..

I live alone and Makita was my world for the last 8 years. We went through so much together, and having her love daily got me through - I never thought i would even make it after her, i have depression on top of everything else since i was 16 and i honestly just didn't know how i would cope.

Its been two months, now-- for the first couple weeks i appeared better than i thought, but it hit me as most stress does, about 3 weeks after and got worse. I highly suggest you cry any time and every time you feel like it. It does help. I still cry but not as much. It has become bearable but each day i still remember her, and talk to her, and tell her how much i love her.

I work from home and at my desk i have a collection of her pictures, that i look at when i get sad. I know it doesn't feel like it will ever get better, i feel that way still sometimes, but eventually you will start having good memories and reflect on your days together.

I always say that for the 8 wonderful years I had with Makita all the hurt and pain from life is worth it to have had her love.

I am sorry it hurts so bad - we are all here for you.
