so sorry to hear about sampson. all of us have also suffered the loss of a beloved rottie. enjoy the memories of 9 years with him. you gave him a good home and he loved you unconditionally. You set him free from his pain, and that's what friends do. you'll see him again on the bridge.

Thank you everybody for your kind words. It's been almost a week since Sampson passed and it seems to be getting harder. Every little thing reminds me of him. His sister, Scarlet who we got from the same litter, misses him too. They have been inseparable their whole lives. We both have a pieces missing from our hearts.

I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time...I so understand...I felt the same way. Your loss is still very new...allow yourself the time you need to heal. Let me assure you there "is" light at the end of the tunnel. It does with time become more smiles than tears.

I understand how you feel. It has been not 3 days for me. you are right. Instead of feeling a little better. I just miss her a more. I do not want to say it has been so long since I have hugged and kissed my girl. My home is empty, part of me is gone and I am suffering deeply. I want to run away. It will pass I am sure to some degree, but I know I will always cry for her. maybe just less frequently. I do believe I need to get another dog? I am empty. I hope you feel some relief and your tears turn to a soft smile when you think of the love you shared. thoughts and prayers be with you and your healing.

I am so sorry to hear about Sampson. Many of us are facing the loss of our beloved rotties right now and we will hold you up in prayer during this very difficult time. Sampson is in Heaven with my Lucas. He has so many new friends and they are running free without any more pain and suffering.
