Re: Goodbye Riley Marie Tomlinson - 1/15/00-5/5/08

I'm so sorry about Riley... so many of our loved ones lost these days.

Fly high, girl -- and keep watching over your family. Rottie angels are special.

I'm so sorry for you loss!

I hope your heart will stay filled with the memories of the love and laughter you shared. I know what you mean about them keeping us happy. I can't go a day that Dixie does not make me happy, I think that's their mission in life. To keep their people (pack) happy and laughing - they are so good at it.

Fly high sweet boy, you have many wings of love under you.

Thinking of you and sending deepest sympathy to you as well. It seems there have been more then usual of our babies going to the Bridge.
Riley was very loved as shown in your posts and pictures.

May you find a whole lot of cheese and run free dear Riley.

Re: Goodbye Riley Marie Tomlinson - 1/15/00-5/5/08

We wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support and prayers. We all "met" on these threads, this terrible, terrible disease that affects our babies - unfortunate it had to be this way, but we are so grateful to have your support and understanding.

It was very strange last night, this morning and now. Every morning for the last 8+ years, it's wake up, take care of Riley and get a shower. It was so hard not to do that this morning. Going to work was tough, everyone there has known Riley, met her, and loved her too. Everywhere we look there are reminders of Riley. It has to get better at some point, I keep telling myself that she is pain free now, and that helps a bit. I can't wait until we get her home with us. I think it will be next week-not the same as really having her here with us, but once her ashes are here she will be back at home with us. Sorry for the rambling thoughts, just when I think I am all out of tears they come raging back. I hope everyone's kids are doing okay and hanging in there. Riley didn't have a mean bone in her body, she will be greeting everyone at the bridge like she greeted my husband and I every day-little wiggling butt, doing her crazy dance, and a big smile on her face.

Hey Gina,

Hang in there.......these first few days are certainly the hardest! But once the ashes are 'home' I think you will feel a slight sense of relief. You're right, it's not the same, but it does seem to help!

Try to have a good night, I know Xena already met her there.......she was always up for a new 'friend'! Now they're both up there running & swimming & playing & waiting for the others to join them. What a happy little 'gang' they'll have!!

Sincerely,
Mike

Re: Goodbye Riley Marie Tomlinson - 1/15/00-5/5/08

I agree with Mike. Having Quade's ashes home has made a difference, my boy is here with me at home. Not the same of course as him being here.

I know what you mean about the complete change in your schedule, dh and I both had a difficult time adjusting to the 'new' routine.

Hope Riley is up to the greeting she will receive from one rambunctious pup, Quade was one energetic boy who was also happy to meet new fur friends and people.

Thinking of you and sending hugs from one lonely fur mom to another.
