Ralphie

I wanted to thank y'all for taking the time to answer me when I came here looking for help.

I just wanted to let you know that Ralphie's leg swelling progressed all the way up to his thigh and he was in considerable pain, even with pain meds. His appetite continued to diminish and we had to encourage him to leave the porch for pee duty. Before moving on to a specialist, though, our vet did a chest x-ray which revealed a grapefruit-sized mass.

His overall condition was very poor and we decided to let him go. He was 8-1/2 and the most beautiful companion we have ever known. We were with the him the entire time and it was very peaceful and full of love. He took a piece of him with us yesterday, but he gave us so much that we can never complain.

Thank you for your help and concern.

Kelli

I'm so sorry for the loss of your boy. It's so devastating when we lose them . You did the right thing by not letting him suffer. Both of you were so lucky to have had each other. RIP Ralphie.

Re: Ralphie

Thinking of you and how you loved Ralphie enough to do what was best. It doesn't make the hurt any less but helps with the decision.

May the memories you have bring you a smile or two on those days you need it.

RIP Ralphie

Re: Ralphie

I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Ralphie.
Letting go is one of the hardest things we have to do in life.
Let his memory comfort you until you can be together again.
RIP Ralphie, fly high with the angels. You are in very good company.
