Re: Goodbye my girl.

I wish I had a better way to tell you how sorry I am to learn about the loss of your precious girl. I think that rotties bond not just to our hearts but forever to our souls as well. Ares had a family who loved and appreciated the wonderful girl she was. I am so sorry you didn't have more time together. I had to smile when you mentioned the way she would spin when you opened the fridge. I hope your wonderful memories help you to heal. You have a rottie angel now.
Be at peace sweet girl
Jane

Re: Goodbye my girl.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your faithful friend Ares. People who are animal /dog lovers really are the only ones who can understand the pain felt from losing a furry member of the family...

I have recently lost my long time loyal friend "Howie" who was our first dog and was a German Shephard / Rottie mix. He was awesome and we will forever miss and love him...

My daughter was crushed and took almost a week just to stop crying. You never replace a friend when they pass, but give yourself time to grieve and then think about adding another loyal companion back in your life. We have recently brought home "Elvis" a 14 week old full Rottie sweetheart who has been a joy. We often miss Howie as we recall memories or compare moments with Elvis, but it feels good to know that we are giving another dog a loving safe home and a good life!

Rest peacefully little Ares!!!!

Re: Goodbye my girl.

Jason, I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember your loss of Titan and now this. What a shock. Know that Titan is taking care of his little "sister" and watching over you.

Re: Goodbye my girl.

Jason,

I cried as i read of the passing of Ares. I just dont know what to say, I am shocked. God must have needed Ares very much to have been taken away from you so soon. May the memories of the short time you had together comfort you when you are feeling sad and angry.

May Ares rest in peace and fly high with the angels until you meet again.

Re: Goodbye my girl.

I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Ares.
We don't always understand why these things happen but I truly believe you were chosen for Ares - if only for such a short time.
You were able to show her love and what family means.
Hold onto your wonderful memories until you can be together again.
RIP Ares, fly high with the angels. You are in very good company.

Re: Goodbye my girl.

Jason

I can't imagine what your going through. I'm so sorry for your loss. Ares had something that not all dogs get to have - a loving family. So sad that she passed on so early in life. Hope you will cherish the memories and the time you did have with her. I've had Poohbear for 9 years now and it still feels like I just brought her home for the first time a few short months ago.

Rest in peace little Ares, knowing you were loved during your brief stay on this earth.

Re: Goodbye my girl.

I'm very very sorry... I had tears in my eyes reading through this. Many people think i'm crazy for crying over "stupid pets" (that's what they say) they are not stupid to me! And to many other people. They are a part of our hearts...

R.I.P Sweet little Ares

Hope you like the Rainbow Bridge!!!

Theres many squirrells and other rotties to chase (= Hope you enjoy yourself...

Re: Goodbye my girl.

Thank you everybody for your thoughts.

I feel that dogs are so close to our hearts because they are such spiritual creatures. God's perfect creations.

Re: Goodbye my girl.

You're so right, Jason - dogs touch a part of our soul that nothing else comes near, and only dog lovers know - but boy how we know it! and boy how we grieve.

Heard this somewhere and I think it's appropriate:
"Don't be sorry that it's over. Just be happy that it happened."

Easier said than done.

RIP, Ares.
