| It's been a hard day. I posted about a month back about my 15 year old Rottie and asking what the longest living one was. I had to put her down this morning. It was the hardest thing to do and I have not stopped crying, but she stopped eating a couple weeks ago and was vomitting bile. The last few days she lost total control of all her functions and lying in her own urine. She never let on she was in any pain, no whining or anything, but I wanted her to go with dignity. The vet came to my house and she was already lying on the couch resting and he gave her a needle of something and she didn't even flinch and just went into sleep. Very peaceful. Now she is in doggie heaven and a puppy again. She was the best dog ever, I was lucky to know her.... |

| Re: Cleo is gone :-( I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful gift to have had her for 15 years. It is never time when they are loved so much. It has been three weeks since my Greta died and it is a little easier. What a beautiful thing to have the vet come to your house. She is once again young and bounding, run free Cleo. |

| Re: Cleo is gone :-( I am so sorry for your loss. I too remember your post about the oldest rottweiler. What a blessing to have had her 15 years though it doesn't make it any easier. RIP Cleo |

| I am so very sorry to be reading about Cleo's passing. 15 years is a long life for a rotty, 15 wonderful years of memories for you to cherish always. May Cleo rest in peace and fly high with the angels until you meet again. ~*sending you hugs from across the Pacific~* Trina
