Zip and Zoom, one passed away yesterday

For those who have not followed the saga of Zip and Zoom under the rescue threads, they are 2 male pups from the Spaulding Co. Shelter. I adopted them in hopes that upon their recovery I could find a home for them.

I regret to inform you that one of the pups passed away yesterday. :( He suffered from parvo then distemper. Although his life was short and I’m sure full of unpleasant experiences, I’m comforted to know that his final days were spent with wonderful caring individuals who did everything in their power to save his life.

Dear Zip or Zoom
Whichever it was
Who passed away Sunday
At least you knew love.

From sure death at a shelter
You brothers were saved
And given a chance thanks
To KATS, odds who braved.

Her vet and their staff
Gave you every chance to fight
We all pulled for you both
Every day and each night.

Across the Rainbow Bridge
Now one of you've crossed
Let's pray that your brother
Will not so also be lost.

Dear Zoom or Zip
Whichever it was
Who passed away Sunday
At least you knew love.

Linda

I'm so sorry to hear this, but at least he went knowing love at the end.

Bless you for that.

KATS:

I am very sorry to hear about Zip and Zoom. I had followed their story closely, and was hoping they they could find a forever home and be happy. Although I was worried, when it was mentioned that they were sick, I was afraid parvo might be the case. Please take comfort that you did everything you could and they were in the best hands possible. I will be thinking of them and you. Bless you for caring for them, and trying to make their lives better. It's people like you that give them a second chance and care enough. Bless you.;)
