Yes, it is normal to still feel that your pet is still in the house. Last year i lost my boxer. She had got hit by a car at age 2; her name was Tyra and i blamed myself for months for her death. Even 2 weeks after i still herd her paws tapping against the ground but when i turned around she wasn't there. The hardest thing I have to say is picking up there ashes.. It's still a wound in my heart. I had tears in my eyes while reading this post.
