I am so sorry to hear this about your beautiful girl. Your Fab-5 will bowl you over when you meet them at the bridge. She is without pain now and you did the most loving and unselfish thing you could ever do for her. Rest in Peace little girl

Re: I just came home from the vet alone

God Bless all of you!! thank you soo much... A lot of people don't understand the love you feel for an animal and it is sooo sad!! Those are people who don't deserve an animal or my friendship!! I do feel better that she is there with all of them and I know once she got there they were all running to each other it just seems so unfair that they don't have a longer life!! I would rather be with dogs then 1/2 the people out there, yet they're taken 10 or so years with some babies even younger, then a lot of them suffer with these horrible diseases, it just makes me question everything especially now!! All she ever did was protect and love us!! why so young and why did she have to go out like that?? Even at the very end the love she had in her eyes I will never see again!! i want to thank you all again!! You are wonderful!! now that I found this forum I will continue to come on, maybe I can help someone with the experiences I went through, or just to comfort like I was comforted!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, but I need to end this as I can't stop crying and my head feels like it is going to explode!!!

Re: I just came home from the vet alone

I am truly sorry for your loss.
I too remember that awful ride home from the Vet.
In time your perspective will adjust and you will see that final trip to the Vet, as difficult as it was, as a of mission of mercy and selfless love. It is the one time we come even close to the selfless devotion and love they offer us everyday of their lives...and bless you for having the strength to not let your girl down when she needed your intervention most.
Again I am so very sorry.
RIP Girl no more pain ever!!

Re: I just came home from the vet alone

I am truly heartbroken after reading your story. I couldn't imagine having to be in your shoes. You are brave and you did not, for one second, let your girl down. And she knows that.

Your Fab 5 are looking down on you right now..and I am sure they cannot wait to see thier mama once again. :)

Stay Strong. My Thoughts and Prayers go out to you.

RIP sweet girl

I am so sorry I just went thru the same thing on March 11th. I PTS my rott "Winnie" she was only 9 and she had hemangiosarcoma (Liver cancer). My heart goes out to you. I pray we can all heal together and Godspeed.

Re: I just came home from the vet alone

I'm very sorry for your loss.
I also had my share of animals lost to disease or cancer and I know we can't just replace them as each one is special and has its own personality.
I'm sure you will always open your heart to a new animal and remember those you lost with a mix of sadness and pride to once have them.
