One month to the day of dx Dallas is gone

Sunday morning, March 2nd, my beloved 10 yr old Dallas, who had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma Feb 2nd died. She was lethargic in the morning, I took her to the Vet ER in Paramus, NJ, and after working on her for an hour, it was just her time...

We went in a private room and sad our goodbyes. The tough part is that this is 10 mos apart from when we said goodbye to Onyx, in May 07.

The grief is great...

Claudia

I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Dallas and Onyx.
Yes, the grief is beyond words.
I am sure both Dallas and Onyx knew they were loved very much by you and your family.
You have your wonderful memories to hold onto until you can be together again.
RIP Dallas and Onyx - fly high with the angels. You both are in very good company.

Re: One month to the day of dx Dallas is gone

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Dallas and my Cyrus went over together on the same day from the same horrible thing. How comforted they must have been to find a rottie friend to cross over together with.
I truly do feel your pain. Sending warm wishes your way.

I am so sorry you are so filled with grief. It is, though, the natural process of walking this difficult path of healing. Please know you are not alone...we here at RDN understand and feel your sorrow.
Prayers for healing going your way.

Re: One month to the day of dx Dallas is gone

Thank you again for your love and support, many people who don't share our passion for animals don't understand that it is no different than losing a human family member.

Sorry to hear about Cyrus, but hopefully they are healed and happy at the Bridge waiting for us. I hope to see her and Onyx again someday.

Tomorrow is a full week since her passing. today is the first day I have not been overcome by tears, but it's only 2 pm : )

Thank you all for being here for me.

Claudia

I am so sorry for your loss. We just lost our rottie to the same diagnosis 5 days ago. She also only had four weeks from diagnosis. The love they receive is what they live for; their people are everything and I am sure yours felt the same love back.
