Staff's Ace In The Hole CD,CGC 11/20/97 2/25/08

Today a part of me went with Ace to that special place. I knew for several days he was failing but he still jumped up when called and was so happy to go anywhere by my side. The tumors had multiplied over his body and his legs were very weak. My greatest fear was that his leg would break suddenly. This all started just two months ago with what I thought was an eye infection. My vet checked him and saw a detached retina? We went to a specialist in Pittsburgh and she wanted extensive testing because she found a lump on his back leg. I refused the bone biopsy and all the others. Ace stayed home with us until today.
For ten years we have had "the boys" (Ace & Vito). I can't imagine our house without Ace? My strengh is knowing each of you has gone through this heartbreak and understand our pain....
Ace I'm sure, ran through beautiful green fields today to find Bella and Brutus and so many others. And they wait where time means nothing and pain and age do not exist.....
