One year, Mobear

I can still remember telling people "I don't remember my life before Mojave came into it" while you looked up at me with your silly grin as I pet your head. One year ago today I did what I'd always hoped I wouldn't have to do too soon. It was the hardest day of my life. I woke up today with an aching heart. I still miss you so very much, Pooh-Bear.

I understand that ache that never quite goes away.
Here's to hoping all of us...in that same boat...will find a way to get lost in the smiles of our treasured memories.
