With a very heavy heart I had to relieve Storm of her pain today. Yesterday she could not hold her urine, constipated, panting, and could not get more than a dribble of urine when outside trying to go to the bathroom. I took her to the vet today and he felt a a mass around her bladder. He then took her to the ultrasound machine and confirm his suspicions. I wasted no time relieving her of her pains. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life.

RonR, I am so sorry about Storm. I know how hard it is to make that decision.
Again, so very sorry.

Re: 10.5 yr Severe Limp in Left Hind- Help

I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Storm.
I do know how very hard letting go is. Especially around the holidays. I lost Sheena Dec. 22nd last year (she was 10 yrs. 9 mo. old). It was one of the hardest things I have had to do.
I truly believe we will all be together again with our furry family members one day.
Until then treasure your memories.
RIP Storm, fly high with the angels...

Saying goodbye is the hardest thing. You have been unselfish in your love for her and did the kindest, most humane thing.

R.I.P. Storm.

Re: Storm

RonR, I am so sorry for your loss, I really am.

You did the right thing by her, and she was very luck to have had you for an owner, and a friend.

I agree, you guys will be together again, and until that day comes, you know she is happy and running around and no longer in any pain.

Stay Strong and Take Care

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You did the kindest thing to set her free, but I know it's so hard right now. It will get easier.

I am so very sorry for your loss. As you know...You DID do the right thing...Bless you and know that your love-dog is running painfree in the sunshine and resting under the shade of an old oak tree...till the day you are reunited.
RIP Storm

Re: Storm

So sorry that you lost your dog in such a way. No way is easy, but its hard when there is nothing more you can. Yu are in my thoughts. I too lost my dog, and I am grieving her not being around anymore. She was healthy in body but her mind was not right and getting worse. Neither way is good for an animal to go. Each day gets a little easier.

I am so sorry, I cant imagine what you are going through. I know storm will always be with you in your heart. You did what was best for her even though it hurt.
She is resting peacefully now.

Re: Storm

Ron,

I had posted when you had originally posted of your loss of Storm, for some reason it never made it to the forum. My apologies for this being so late.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Storm. Letting them go is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. You were there for your girl when she needed you the most, you gave her the final gift of love.

In time may only happy memories remain.
