| Re: Life goes on Like others have said, you will know when you are ready. And sometimes, the right circumstances just fall together. I wasn't actively looking for a new dog when Missy and I found each other, over three years ago, but it definitely was the right thing. And, don't forget about rescue. Puppies are wonderful, but there are so many wonderful adult Rotties that need forever homes.

| Re: Life goes on It has been almost two weeks since my Roxie was PTS. I know I am not ready yet. Yes, she had flaws, but she was very special. No dogs are alike. I think you have to get past the grieving stage. Maybe a good idea would be to foster a dog. I am thinking along those lines. Maybe even foster a kitten the first tim around, just to clear out your head. I'm still waiting for Roxie's remains and dreading the day I'll be picking her up from the Vet's office. Everyone says you will know when you're ready. I think you must go through the healing process. A human grief book has been quite helpful to me. Perhaps there is a dog one out there for us. I'll be checking. Anyway, keep healing and remember there are a lot of good dogs out there needing homes. Marya |
