You were a friend to Max to the end as he was to you. In your beautiful part of the world you described so well the last day. They hide all their pain not to be a burden on you to the end. They look up at you with those innocent eyes. You think of their confident, strong andregal look as masters of their domain and you feel sad when they must leave. I still shed a tear once in a while for my beautiful Thor who was put to sleep a little over a year ago. It may be foolish, but I believe and hope to enjoy his company in another life. I visited his grave today. Rotties are such magnificent animals.

I look forward to seeing them all again.
I hope your day was somewhat peaceful, those anniversaries are hard, especially the first one.
