Remembering our Meeko

It was one year ago today that we spent our last day together. I was so hoping you could hold on a couple of days longer so the rest of the family could say good bye, but I know you knew how much they loved you, and tried to get home. All day you kept giving me that look that said it is time Mom I cant wait any longer. That next morning was the hardest thing for me, just you and me, as you laid your head in my lap and took your last breath. I was thankful that I was there the moment you were born to your last day. Thank you for 10 wonderful years of companionship and love. Thank you for teaching your daughter Brina to be as good as you were. She is now doing a wonderful job teaching your granddaughter Meeka, who we named after you . We will forever miss you, but I know you are having a great time up there over the bridge with all of your other Rottie friends.
Love you and miss you Meeko

Re: Remembering our Meeko

Sounds like Meeko had a great life with a great family...and the best part is she lives on here with you thru her daughter and grand doughter. How lucky you are. Special thoughts going your way today. {{{HUG}}}

Re: Remembering our Meeko

What a fortunate dog she was to have had you as her family. I know it worked both ways but, judging from your loving words, she had all the things that make a dog happy! Love, companionship, I'm sure the best food a dog could get, security, training, lots of hands on loving but most of all, your post reflects the deep respect you have for her precious life. I know what it feels like, miss my Sheena Marie Too. Thanks for sharing her generous spirit with us. Hugs,
Jane

So sorry for your loss. I hope you find consolation in knowing Meeko had the best life possible because she was your girl, loved and treasured by you.

Re: Remembering our Meeko

I am so very sorry for the loss of your Meeko.
It must be as great comfort indeed to have Meeko's daughter and granddaughter to love and remember her by.
Meeko sounds like a wonderful girl - you were blessed to have her for 10 years.
RIP Meeko, fly high with the angels. You are in good company...
