My Best Friend...A short Tribute

CUDDLES

My best friend died today
I feel so overwhelmed with sadness
It is hard to imagine such grief, such loss
Such emptiness…such selfishness.

My Best friend died today.
I am so glad that she is not in pain anymore
I miss her so much already.
Her silly smiles, her snuffles and complaints
Her deep belly snoring that would wake even the heaviest sleeper.
Her sense of humour and fun and unselfish love,
for us all.

My best friend died today,
I will miss her tummy rolls, back rolls and attention demands, her voice and her deep – from the devil bark.
Her ability to be sugar and spice and to do the ‘hair and dog thing all at once. Her doggy kisses and sloppy loves.

My Best friend died today.
I had the good fortune to tell her how much I loved her and how grateful I am to her for coming into my life, unselfishly loving me and my family and for loving all of the kids.

My Best friend will live on always, in my thoughts and dreams, wishes and most precious memories.

Bless you and your sweet dog. I just lost my Max not too long ago, and the pain still hurts. Slowly though I am able to remember the happy times, but it still hurts.

Your post is the most beautiful memory poem that I ever have read. I lost my dear Kujo, January 30, 2007. Rest in peace "Dear Cuddles". Your mum loved you very much. I hope you have found my little Kujo at Rainbow Bridge and you can run free together.
