Support/prayers needed for a friend

A friend of mine at work just lost her 8 yr old rottie-boy, Brutus, last night. Brutus was her special boy and, although he lived with her ex, has always been "her" dog. He had had surgery about a month ago to remove a cancerous tumor on his spleen. Although they knew that Brutus was going to go she was not prepared for it to be as sudden as it was. She was called to the vet hospital yesterday afternoon as Brutus was barely able to walk and, although he had not eaten much in 3 days, had a distended stomache. The vets felt that he had tumors in his stomache that were bleeding out. The decision was made to put him down. My friend is totally distraught over Brutus' death and could use some support. Please pray for Brutus, Karen and Bill in this most difficult time.
